Planning- Location
This is the photography studio we will be using to film Jake pulling the tape out of the cassett. The studio is within college and therefore easy for us to get too, and book.
This is the bedroom we will be filming in. Sam's house (and bedroom) is 15 minutes away from college and is easily accessible. We can stay there as long as we need, and can easily reuse if we need to refilm any shots.
The malvern hills are public property and therefore we do not need permission to film on them. They are easy to get to by car, both myself and Jake can drive and own cars so transport isn't an issue. They are also large and spacious, therefore allowing us to film without distrubing any members of the public.

Planning - Experiment test shoot
This is an experiment we quickly tried for the transition that we need in our video. We want Jake to go from his bedroom and step out onto the malvern hills, this fast panning shot will work really well. However we learnt that the height of the person being filmed and the person filming is important; at first I filmed and Sam was the stand in, as he is more similar to Jake's height, but because I am much smaller, I couldn't get all of his head in. But when we switched and I was filmed, it worked much better. When it comes to filming these shots Sam will shoot them as he is taller then Jake. After putting the two together we realised we need to make sure we remember to film both shots in either counter-clockwise direction, or clockwise to ensure they flow together.
Planning - Target Audience
In order to receive regular feedback from our target audience we have made a Facebook group in which we will post updates of our progress, for example our digipaks, and our animatic, and ask people to comment what they like.
Emma Parker This looks very proffessional? I know you didn't actually carry the furniture outside, but if I hadn't of asked how you got it outside I wouldn't of know you had edited it. You can't tell at all!
Laura Court-Jones I love this, especially the front cover. I love the idea of it blending it into the bedroom, its been editied professionally with no flaws. If anything to improve i might have put a filter on the outdoor shoots so the contrasting green would blend more with the soft colours in the bedroom to keep the same mood. But Also love the text, simple but very effective :)
Emma Parker Love the contrast of the black against the white. It really captures your attention!
Laura Court-Jones Love this, its look extremely professional, the blend with the white adds to the mood of the picture, and all credentials are clear :)

Planning - Casting
We need to characters to be the main features in our video. A boy
who will be the main role with the singing part and a girl who will be the girl
who he's singing about.
The Main Actor: Jake Glass
The Main Actress: Amy Ledgerwood
We know that these two people will be reliable. As Jake is
featuring in my video I am featuring in his. This means we both have to be
reliable and stick to times and dates if we want both of our video's shot when
is planned. Also Jake has featured in both mine and Kate's digipacks and has
never been late or unreliable as far.

Planning - costumes and props
Jake will be playing a guitar throughout our video, the person in charge of getting this prop will be Sam, who is borrowing it of his Dad. There will be no cost.
Jake will be dressed in slim fit jeans, a white t-shirt, and a coloured hoddie with plain pump style shoes. This is similar to the outfit he wore for both of our digipak's and advert and therefore keeps the recurring theme. As Jake has all of this items in his wardrobe, there will be no cost. Sam is in charge of making sure Jake is wearing this on the day.
Amy does not feature in the video as much as Jake, but she still needs to look inkeeping with the indie genre. She will wear patterned leggings, a black baggy top, black boots and a green parka coat, she already has all of this items in her wardrobe so there will be no cost. I will be in charge of making sure Amy knows exactly what she has to wear/

Advert Screen Grabs
For the advert I have decided to use the same picture as the front cover of the album so that the two products together clearly connote one marketing package.
I have used the same feathering effect fading into white at the bottom of the page, as the text does not show up very well against the picture, as there is so much going on, and there was more then just the artist name and title that needed to be included. Therefore by having just the plain white background at the bottom the black text really stands out and it is easy to read.
I have kept all the text in the same middle position, as I think this makes the advert look clean and precise.
As you can see at the bottom of the advert I have added these three symbols, the amazon logo and the itunes logo promote where the consumer can buy the album from. The mercury records label shows the music label that the artist is 'signed to'. I have also included both the mercury records website, and the lakota sioux website to advertise them, and therefore hopefully get further publicity.

Digipak Screen Grabs
For the top right hand cover where the CD goes, i have chosen to show both what the CD will look like, and the background behind. The CD will be Jake playing the guitar, and with is then place on top of the back ground in nature. In order to make the CD look less harsh, and I used a small amount of feathering around the edges of it, to ensure it blends in with the background.
